Toxic constraints, Painful restraints. Sadnesses and losses, Manipulation and abuses. Vulgarities in morality Apathetic lack of empathy. Discoloration of the land Barren wastes where fields should be. All of this due to necessity. Desire for happiness For peace and love. But what is this without loyalty. What is peace without pride. "There is something inside, Something they can't touch." It cannot be silenced, It cannot be whored. And here we stand, Defiant of all things. Children of God. Souls bruised and battered. We hold onto our children, Although it may hurt our bleeding hands. We smile at them. And charge once again. Our shattering battle cries A testament to hope. |
