In perspective I was such a fool when we met
Attempting to impress you with my eyes and charm
Dressing the best with a sweet smelling cologne
Walking straight with an air of confidence.
Surrounded by the judgement of parents and peers.
I walked where I walked without being loved.
Seeking acceptance that never seemed to arrive
I innocently seeked to impress you that night.
More than love and more than attraction,
