Would you betray someone you loved for someone you loved more? No, you would not. You would not because that whom is loved more by you is more your property. That person is more under your ownership, and the true essence of love dictates that you forgoe sacrifice for the loved one. It should therefore cause you the most pain to hurt the one you loved the most. You will therefore pick the path that shall cause you the most pain, for that is the only path that exemplifies the meaning of true love. Therefore, whomever you love less is the one that shall have his or her choices fulfilled. Whomever you love less is less a part of you, and any sacrifice you do for them shall be moreso a sacrifice for love, than if you were to protect the one you loved more, for the one you loved more is more a part of you. Picking the one you loved more would indicate selfishness, and not love. |
