A birds eye view of overgrown marsh, swampy land with no noise no sound. Wet, dark, dirty it may be, but search as they did, no people were found. My dark knights stand, eyes invisible clothes swaying bodies still. Containing the charred evil at bay in myself against its will. The sky is filled with dark wet fog, the grass is damp with weeds in sway. As hope was gained, and innocence improved the knights grew stronger day by day. The evil continued with one desire and two eyes with which to see its goal. Its poisonous mass slithers about with a neverending cry, blacker than coal. Through the light in my eyes, the sound at my ears and the reflection in my mind. My knights have fallen, blood stained mouths ajar in fear, eyes widened, fought as they tried. One fearful knight, eyes bleached open, clothes in rags, sits upon corpses of the fallen and the fleed. He terrified watches over me and I over him, for the evil is at the gate, and almost upon me. |
